The IMAP4 Server SDK is GoodServer's flagship product, and bring servlet-like ease to IMAP accessibility.
The IMAP4 Server SDK is the essential starting
point for any developer or team wishing to develop an IMAP4-accessible solution.
Common uses:
- Develop a stateful IMAP4 proxy. The IMAP4 Server SDK includes everything you need to develop a stateful proxy. That includes a complete and robust client
library (not just retooled Sun/JavaMail transport classes), and a functioning proxy sample server.
- Develop an IMAP4 server, in order to make a proprietary mail store, voicemail system, or database accessible via IMAP4. Implement data access methods for your mail store in Java, and the framework will wrap that in a full-blown IMAP4 server.
- JavaMail Gateway. Make any JavaMail Store provider accessible via IMAP4, such as those for POP3, Unix mbox, etc.
- Embed business rules in an IMAP4 server or proxy. If your solution
requires special business rules, then the IMAP4 Server SDK provides the ideal container. Your customizations run in a concise encapsulation boundary, while the framework does all the protocol exchange work. Dynamically hide folders, transform emails, implement special locking, or custom message flags. The possibilities are almost limitless.
